The Neuromechanics Group has dedicated research space within the Laboratory for Neuroengineering, located on the third floor of the U. A. Whitaker Building on the Georgia Tech campus.
We have a custom postural perturbation device built by Factory Automation Systems that can apply linear perturbations to the support surface. The device is instrumented with two AMTI OR6-6 force plates. In addition we have an 8-channel telemetered Konigsburg EMG system, and a 6 camera Vicon 612 motion capture system.
For neuromuscular modeling, we have Musculographic's SIMM software. We also use SD/Fast and AUTOLEV software for dynamic simulations.
We are also developing our own neuromechanical modeling software.
