Neurological Biomaterials & Therapeutics

The Neurological Biomaterials and Therapeutics (Neuro-BAT) Laboratory is located in the U.A. Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Building on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. Both the Neuro-BAT laboratory and the department (IBB Core Facilities) are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for imaging, tissue culture, animal surgery, and histology.

  • Simultaneous extracellular multiple single-unit and local field potential (LFP) recording, in vivo
  • 16 wideband channel preamplifier w/ 2-pole low-cut and 4-pole high-cut filter (3Hz-8kHz, 1000-x gain [s/n:320])
  • 16 channel commutator with harwin connectors for chronic, awake recording
  • NI A/D subsystem (1.25 MS/sec, 12-bit res.)
